Caretaker Information Minister, Ziad Makary, on Monday hosted several prominent figures at his office.
Roger El Hani, President of the World Cultural University, briefed Makary on the university’s activities in the diaspora, praising the media advancements during Makari’s tenure, particularly at Tele Liban.
Nasrine Al Ashkar, President of the Arab Federation for Optics in Asia and North Africa, discussed her visit to Beirut from Cairo, where she explored integrating the federation into the Arab League.
Al Ashkar stressed her dedication to serving Lebanese institutions, highlighting the distinction between state and nation, and urging citizens to separate their discontent with the state from their love for the nation.
She also announced a new program on Tele Liban, “Our Responsibilities Towards Our Nation,” featuring top celebrities.
Finally, Salwa Al-Amine, President of “Diwan Ahl Al Qalam,” and board member Mansour Al Khoury met with Makary over the organization’s recent activities and future plans, presenting the Information Minister with their publications.
