Lebanese Ministry of Information
Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, visited the Social Welfare Institution’s Islamic orphanage (Dar Al-Aytam Al-Islamiya) HQ in Beirut’s Tariq Al Jadida, whereby he was welcomed by the Orphanage’s director general and deans.
The visit began with a documentary on the social care and humanitarian services offered by the Dar to all age groups and the most vulnerable in society, through all its centers in Beirut and the Lebanese regions.
Caretaker Minister Makary hailed the wide range of qualitative humanitarian and social care services provided by the Dar, pointing out that “the Lebanese media has a major and pivotal role in shedding light on the role of social welfare institutions as a social and humanitarian safety network.”
