Makary Visits Archbishop Audeh, Insists On Electing A President Of The Republic

Beirut Greek Orthodox Archbishop, Elias Audeh,  received Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary.

On emerging, Caretaker Minister Makary said that he discussed with Metropolitan Audeh the country’s existential crises, as well as the current administrative and judicial predicaments endured by the country.

The Minister also highlighted the need for the election of a president of the republic in order to preserve the country.

“The administration, the state and the institutions cannot function without a head. For this reason, there must be an insistence on the election of the President of the Republic,” he explained, adding that, “All officials must live up to this responsibility and work to elect the president of the republic.”

On the other hand, Archbishop Audeh later received a delegation of the families of the Beirut port blast victims, who confirmed on emerging the prelate’s support for their just national cause.
