Lebanese Ministry of Information
Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, welcomed at his ministry office a delegation from the Lebanese Writers Union, chaired by Secretary General Elias Zgheib, who congratulated the Minister on the nomination of Beirut as “the capital of the Arab media in 2023”.
On emerging, Zogheib said that the delegation expressed the Union’s readiness to support the Ministry of Information for the success of the “Beirut, Capital of Arab Media 2023” event.
Zogheib added that they agreed on a series of joint activities between the MoI and the Union to serve this project and to reflect Lebanon’s true image, notably that of free speech, media, culture, and mankind.
