Lebanese Ministry of Information
A handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Information on Wednesday between former Minister, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, and her successor, Minister George Kordahi.
Abdel Samad listed her achievements while Minister Kordahi promised to follow up on them.
“So far we have heard a lot of ill-talk; we will not respond, but we will just suffice by saying: May God forgive you, forgiving is an act of the generous.”
“I feel the suffering of the media in general and that of my fellow media workers and the private media institutions, and I hope that while assuming the ministry’s duties I will be able to implement new projects.” Kordahi said, indicating that he will be briefed on the laws and projects that Minister Abdel Samad talked about and will study all of them and follow up on the measures taken to implement them, “especially those that are in the interest of Lebanon and the media in Lebanon in particular.”
