Abdel Samad: To refer to NNA for accurate news on coronavirus

Minister of Information, Manal Abdel Samad, renewed calls on Monday to refer to the state-run news agency for accurate and correct news on the freshly spread coronavirus.

“Ever since the first case of corona was detected, we agreed with Health Minister, Hamad Hassan, that the National News Agency is the official source of accurate information,” Abdel Samad said in a statement.

“Still, there are multiple rumors on a daily basis,” she added.

“Therefore, we shall remind media means of referring to NNA,” she continued.

“National responsibility entails awareness,” she said.
