Information Minister, Manal Abdel Samad, on Friday welcomed at her ministerial office British Ambassador to Lebanon, Chris Rampling, with whom she discussed the country’s general situation, as well as some media-related issues.
“It’s a pleasure to have met Her Excellency, the Minister; it is the first time I get the chance to meet with her. We discussed a range of issues, obviously the seriousness of the economic situation that faces Lebanon at the moment, as well as the ongoing communication around the decision that will be made tomorrow, whatever it may be,” Rampling said on emerging.
“We also talked about the state of the media here in Lebanon. All of these are issues that the UK has been following up on very closely and will continue to do so,” the UK diplomat added.
